Inter plan swoop for Mascherano and Kuyt

(GSM) – Internazionale are planning a bid for Liverpool duo Javier Mascherano and Dirk Kuyt.

The Daily Mail reports Inter hopes a bid of £33m will be enough to secure the services of the Reds pair.

The Champions League winners have reached an agreement with Rafael Benitez and the Spaniard hopes defensive midfielder Mascherano and winger Kuyt will follow him to the Giuseppe Meazza.

Inter is also keen on Fernando Torres but they acknowledge that competing with Chelsea would make it difficult to sign the Spain striker.

Mascherano and Kuyt, however, are more achievable signings and are thought to be open for a reunion with their former boss.
