Inter ponder Bartra swoop

Inter Milan are weighing up a January move for Barcelona defender Marc Bartra, according to Spanish daily AS.

The talented defender’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and the Nerazzurri are hoping to take advantage of the opportunity and lure the youngster to Giuseppe Meazza.

AS has reported that the Italian side has enquired about the possibility of signing Bartra in the January transfer window.

Chances are the Catalans will want to keep hold of one of their hottest prospects, but with his deal nearing to close it will be up to the player to make a decision on his future.

Bartra has so far made a total of 14 La Liga appearances for Barcelona, scoring 2 goals in the process.

His suitors Inter have enjoyed a brilliant start to the new season, and having climbed to third with a win over Fiorentina, the Nerazzurri are evens to defeat Cagliari as well.
