Inter ponder bid for Italy number one; Diarra(s) on the move

Inter ponder bid for Italy number one

Inter are pondering a bid for Bologna keeper Emiliano Viviano after Julio Cesar picked up another injury.

Julio Cesar’s season has been plagued with injuries and after straining a muscle in training, the Neroazzurri are eager to find him a replacement.

Seeing that Inter already co-own Bologna keeper Emiliano Viviano, they are looking to buy out the remaining half of his contract in January and bring him to Giuseppe Meazza.

The 25-year-old keeper, who has become Italy number one in the absence of Gigi Buffon wants to stay at Bologna so as not to jeopardize his place in the national team.

Should Inter fail to lure Viviano to Meazza in January, they will try to bring Cagliari keeper Federico Marchetti on loan until the end of the season.

Veteran Luca Castellazzi was given the task of deputizing for Julio Cesar this season, but if Inter really want to challenge the Serie A title, they need to bring a decent keeper in January.

Diarra(s) on the move

Real midfielders Mahamadou Diarra and Lassana Diarra have expressed desire to leave the club in the search for first team football.

Mahamadou Diarra informed the club officials that he had received an offer from Malaga and he is expected to leave the club in the January transfer window.

However, the Malian’s expected departure could close the door for Lassana Diarra, who also wants to leave Santiago Bernabeu.

The Frenchman and his agent had a three-hour meeting with Real officials on Tuesday and demanded for Diarra to be allowed to leave the club unless he receives a pay rise.

Diarra has been heavily linked to Manchester United, but he is prepared to stay if he gets assurances regarding his role in the team.

As it now seems, Jose Mourinho doesn’t see the Frenchman as the first team regular and Diarra would certainly be better off joining Manchester United.

Everton target made available for sale

Sporting Lisbon have decided to cash in on striker Yannick Djalo as they look to boost their transfer budget.

The Portuguese giants are in a very poor financial situation and they are hoping the sale of key player Yannick Djalo will help them raise some much needed funds.

This will alert a number of Premiership clubs, including Everton, Manchester City and Tottenham, who are reportedly all keen on the Portuguese.

The 24-year-old Djalo impressed the scouts from England during the New York Challenge tournament last summer as he scored a double to hand the Lions a victory over Manchester City.

Everton were linked to the Portuguese last summer and seeing the Toffees are in desperate search for a striker, they are expected to make a move in January.
