(GSM) – Internazionale president Massimo Moratti believes his his side were so dominant against Livorno last night that they saved energy for Saturday’s crucial match against Roma.

Inter took a 2-0 lead before the break thanks to a brilliant brace from Samuel Eto’o. Maicon then secured the victory 16 minutes into the second half, capping a deserved 3-0 victory.

Following Milan’s crash at Parma it now appears that Roma are Inter’s main title rivals, making Saturday’s match between the two sides decisive.

“Inter are a true champion. From London onwards the team has rediscovered the right form,” Moratti smiled.

“It was a really great performance. There were two very beautiful, very important goals.”

When asked about the changing shape of the title race, Moratti said: “Well, I honestly didn’t know about this. But now we will enjoy the situation in the table and we hope to play a great game against Roma.

“I still don’t know if I will be there. But, yes, perhaps I will…”
