Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti claims he is yet to approach Lazio in regards to Goran Pandev.

The Macedonian forward is currently out of favour in Rome after informing his current employers of his desire to move on.

With his contract at Stadio Olimpico set to expire next summer, Lazio are expected to cash in while they still can.

That has led to intense speculation that Pandev could be on his way to Inter.

Reports suggest the 26-year-old could even join Jose Mourinho’s men prior to the opening of the January transfer window, in a loan deal intended to be made into a permanent switch.

Moratti, though, insists no such plan is in place, hinting that his side would rather wait until the end of the season before making their move.

“Pandev is a name that I read a lot in the press,” Moratti told Inter’s official website.

“But up to now, I have had no dialogue regarding Pandev with club executives.

“Pandev is a great player and next year I would gladly go and see him play.”
