Lazio striker Simone Inzaghi admits that he would like to score in the Rome Derby for the first time in his ten years at the club.

The Biancocelesti will face Roma in the Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

“I have been at Lazio for ten years and I have played in many games against Roma. It’s a dream game and there is nothing like it,” Inzaghi told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“It’s magical; the others are nothing like it. The whole city gets together and there is much anticipation building up from months before.

“Lazio the favourites? No, because the standings don’t count in games like these, especially against Roma.

“I have never scored in the Rome Derby and this is the only thing which is missing, so I am hoping to do it this time. I am feeling good and, if I’m needed, I will be ready.

“I hope we win. If we do it will really mean that we’re flying high.”
