He seeems to play almost any position at times to be honest. . .
Right Midfield or Striker for US, Striker for LA, and striker in Germany.

It seems as long as he plays, you'll know it.

David:
Your welcome. I find your articles a good read.
Kaipo, youre right that someone is recongnizing just how talented American players are. Well spotted.
Chelski, I dont agree with your opinion about Donovan being overrated, it is your opinion and I respect that. Of course, I'm sure other fans of the USMNT also say this, but Donovan doesnt look like the type of player who is overrated. People do say he is world class, and THAT IS true. He is too good to not be world class. It is also the same for Dempsey, Howard, Altidore (Hull City needs to let him have a bit more time on the field than what he is getting, he didnt look too fit back when the US lost to Denmark 3-1), and even Onyewu (shame he got injured, hope he gets back to full fitness and has plenty of playing time with AC Milan).

The fact Americans are beginning to play in the PL (the TOP league in the world, in my opinion) along with Serie A and even La Liga shows that we are getting better. It is what the USSF planned after all, in what they call Project 2010. They have been hoping for years that this WC helps us become a world power, for good. And with the kind of players like Donovan, Dempsey, Howard, among others, we should fulfill Project 2010.

Donovan, who is our best player, can help fulfill this by signing with a PL team and getting loads of time on the pitch and a lot of goals.

Hope he helps you, he is highly overrated in my opinion. At Bayern Munich he was nothing, and could not get into the squad allthough munich did have some striker problems back than. Would be interesting though. In my Opinion premier league should be more difficult than german league, but maybe its better for his style of play.

Hey, David. Nice article. I hope to see Donovan in the PL, doesnt matter who as long as he gets plenty of time, plenty of chances on goal, and plenty of goals to boot.
Everton have had a nice history of employing succesful American footballers. As you have pointed out, the Toffees had Moore, McBride (damn good player there, no wonder Fulham have a bar in Craven Cottage named in his honor), and now our current best keeper, Howard (with his excellent hands, I am surprised EFC isnt somewhere higher in the league).
If Donovan arrives at Goodison, he should follow in their footsteps. After all, he is the US's best player, and he deserves to play in the best league and with one of the best teams.
