Udinese midfielder Mauricio Isla says he maintains hope of playing for Real Madrid in the future, despite being set to join Juventus.
The Chile international is understood to be on the verge of completing a transfer to Juve, having undergone a medical with the club in recent days.
Real Madrid were credited with an interest in Isla’s service, and the 24-year-old has not lost hope that he will one day ply his trade at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“I have faith in what I am and I know that I will play at Real Madrid,” he told Terra Chile.
Isla said he is recovering well from a knee injury that ruled him out of the final weeks of last season.
“I am doing some exercises in the gym and some ball work,” the Chilean said.
