Competition: World Cup qualifiers
Market: Italy to win against Israel
Odds: 4/6 @ Bet 365

Italy travel to the Haifa International Stadium to face Israel in their opening World Cup qualifier in Group G, and are desperate to get off to winning start given only the top side in the table will automatically book their place in the finals in 2018.

Home side Israel have struggled for form ahead of Monday’s clash, suffering four consecutive defeats to Cyprus, Belgium, Croatia and Serbia. Their defence has been ruthlessly exposed in 2016, and their poor results will give Italy confidence of picking up from where they left off in Euro 2016 this summer.

Visitors Italy impressed in the European Championships, enjoying wins over Belgium and Spain among others. Gli Azzurri have a new manager and changes to the squad, but they expected to come out on top with their superiority quality in the side. With Spain in their qualifying group, Italy can’t afford to slip-up and risk missing out on automatic progression.

Spain, Albania, Israel, Macedonia and Liechtenstein make up Group G with Italy, meaning it’s likely to be Euro 2012 finalists Spain & Italy fighting it out for top spot. Italy know they have to deliver on Monday, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 4/6 for Gli Azzurri to see past Moldova.
