Cerezo Ozaka have moved to the top of Group A in the J.League Cup after a 3-2 win against Kawasaki Frontale on Wednesday.

Cerezo made a slow start to the match and Jumpei Kusukami netted a 30th-minute opener for Kawasaki Frontale, stunning the home crowd in Ozaka.

Cerezo burst out of the blocks in the second half and goals to Brazilian Kempes and midfielder Yoichiro Kakitani in the 15 minutes after the break put them in front.

It was another Brazilian, Renatinho, who levelled the scoreline for Kawasaki with 22 minutes left.

There was still time for Cerezo to get a winner though and it was Kakitani who delivered with just four minutes remaining.

In other J.League Cup results, Sagan Tosu defeated Urawa Reds 2-1, Vegalta Sendai won 3-1 at Sanfreece Hiroshima and Kashima Antlers edged Albirex Niigata 1-0.

Omiya Ardija also won by the 1-0 scoreline against Vissel Kobe while Shimizu S-Pulse thumped Consadole Sapporo 4-0 away from home.
