FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez has said in no uncertain terms that he plans to quit Estadio do Dragao in the summer.

The Colombian forward has been linked with a big club move for over a year now, but the Dragons somehow managed to keep hold of his services.

But, while Martinez remains focused on his job at FC Porto, he is looking to leave the club for greener pastures at the end of the season.

“I have made it clear that my departure to a new club will surely happen next summer,” the 28-year-old confessed to Colombian newspaper El Espectador.

“Right now I only focus on doing my job with Porto, but I’m ready to take the leap in the next window.”

Jackson Martinez has proved to be one of club’s best signings in recent history, having bagged 62 goals in 80 league games since arriving from Chiapas.

Atletico eyeing Argentine starlet

Argentine daily newspaper Ole has suggested that Atletico Madrid are readying bid for River Plate youngster Emanuel Mammana.

Los Colchoneros had scouts present at the Under-20 South American Championship in Uruguay, and they were thoroughly impressed by the performances of the central defender.

Mammana helped Argentina win the coveted trophy, starting eight fixtures at the tournament finals, with his side keeping four clean sheets in the process.

Atletico Madrid had followed the youngster even before the competition and they are looking to step up their interest ahead of the summer transfer window.

With Jose Maria Gimenez proving a great signing despite arriving at Vicente Calderon without significant first team experience, los Colchoneros believe Mammana can be just as successful.

After closing the gap behind Real Madrid to four points with an amazing 4-0 win over their local rivals, Atletico can be backed at 14/1 to defend the La Liga trophy.

Napoli confirm interest in Allan

Serie A giants Napoli have moved to confirm reports linking them with a summer move for Udinese midfielder Allan.

The Azzurri are believed to be in the market for a central midfielder and the Brazilian is reportedly one of the first names on their hit-list.

Speaking after the 3-1 victory over Udinese, Napoli chief Riccardo Bigon have confessed Allan is on club’s radar.

“Let’s talk about the good players Udinese buy and allow to grow in a perfect environment,” Bigon told Radio Kis Kiss. “He (Allan) is interesting, he is doing very well but he is not the only one (we are looking at).”

The 24-year-old arrived at Friuli two and a half years ago from Vasco da Gama and he quickly developed into an important player.

Allan went on to feature in 90 Serie A matches for the Zebrette, scoring the only league goal for the club in a 2-2 draw with Cagliari last month.
