Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez has emerged as the top transfer target for Liverpool, but according to the latest reports the player himself is having different plans.

The Colombian ace has struggled to hold the regular first-team place under Zinedine Zidane this season and is widely expected to leave for pastures greener at the end of the current campaign.

The midfielder is not short of options with several big-name clubs monitoring his situation at Los Blancos. Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were all linked with a move for the Colombian, but James Rodriguez himself is thought to be keen for a reunion with former boss Carlo Ancelotti at Bayern Munich.

The Spanish source Don Balon has learned that the Italian boss is open to bringing him to Germany and that he is ready to try and convince the Bayern Munich officials to sanction a deal that is expected to go well over the €50 million mark.

The same outlet reported today that Real Madrid are yet to receive an offer that exceeds €40 million.
