Jelavic completes China switch

Nikica Jelavic has completed a £4m move from West Ham United to Chinese side Beijing Renhe, according to the Express.

The Croatia international has struggled to hold down a regular first team place since moving to Upton Park from Hull City in August, with his one and only league start coming in a goalless draw against Swansea City back in December.

He had also scored just one league goal for Slaven Bilic’s side, though has moved to the Super League for £1m more than the fee the Hammers paid for him six months ago.

Prior to his move to the East London outfit, Jelavic spent eighteen months with Hull while he has also played for Everton, Rangers, Rapid Wien, Zulte Waregem and Hadjuk Split.

He also has been capped thirty-six times for his country, scoring six goals, and was part of their squad for the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
