Rayo Vallecano coach Paco Jemez believes his side can get a result against Real Madrid in La Liga on Sunday.

Jemez’s side go into the game sat in sixth position, nine points behind third-placed Real, with the capital club coming off a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“I think we will have our chances at the Bernabeu,” he told Cuatro.

“It’s a big pitch and if you are brave and have the ball, you can leave with the prize.”

Jemez spoke about the future of Real coach Jose Mourinho and tipped the Portuguese tactician to turn things around after a disappointing league campaign so far.

“He (Mourinho) has to be made of stern stuff to be able to stand the pressure he is under. Everything he does has global repercussions,” Jemez said.

“His future will have a bit to do with what happens in the Champions League.

“Anything can happen, he could win the Copa del Rey and the Champions League and that would consolidate him as what he already is – one of the best coaches in the world.”
