Jese stuck in Paris

Jese Rodriguez was linked with a number of clubs this summer as he looks to escape from Paris Saint-Germain, but one by one the rumours disappeared as potential moves fell through.

At one moment he was set to join SD Huesca on loan, as reported by their local TV station Aragon TV, but no deal materialized. Marca claim he was close to Nantes towards the end of the transfer window, but they had to unload Diego Carlos who was supposed to go to Zenit Saint Petersburg first to be able to afford his services. However, the Russian club pulled out of the Carlos deal which in turn meant Nantes pulling out from the deal for Jese.

The former Real Madrid forward endured a tough time last season on a personal level with the premature birth of his son, and he made only 13 appearances on loan at Stoke City where he found the not only once.

He has been left out of PSG’s squad for both Ligue 1 and the Champions League for this season, and is expected to work a way out of the club by January in a desperate attempt to get his career back on track.
