Jesus Corona to pen Twente deal

Twente are set to complete the signing of winger Jesus Manuel Corona from Monterrey, according to the Mexican club.

Monterrey chairman Jose Gonzalez Ornelas confirmed the deal yesterday evening, although the Tukkers have yet to announce the transfer on their official website.

De Telegraaf has learned that a €4 million transfer has been agreed between the two clubs, with the midfielder set to fly to Enschede for a medical.

The Tukkers have been in the market for attacking reinforcements since Nacer Chadli completed a switch to Tottenham, although they have signed Luka Djordjevic on loan from Zenit.

Jesus Manuel Corona has made a total of 46 league appearances for Monterrey, scoring 4 goals in the process, while also impressing at the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup.

The 20-year-old started four games for Mexico at the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey this summer, scoring his only goal in a 4-1 group win over Mali.
