Ludogorets Razgrad forward Jonathan Cafu has moved to confirm that he has been in contact with Serie A outfit Lazio.
The Biancocelesti are believed to be keen on adding the Brazilian to their ranks in the January window, having been impressed with his performances in Bulgaria and Europe.
Cafu has been in excellent form this season, scoring 5 goals in the league and another 4 in Europa League, and it appears he has done enough to earn a lucrative move to Stadio Olimpico.
The forward has now confirmed that Lazio are keen on his services and he admits this would be a dream move for him.
“Lazio? A dream,” Cafu told Il Corriere dello Sport. “There have been contacts, it would be great.
”(Felipe) Anderson is my friend and he told me about Rome. (Lazio sporting director) Tare spoke with my agent and I am aware of the fact that contacts are continuing.”
Lazio are eager to reinforce their front line in January in spite of Ciro Immobile’s excellent performances, with the Biancocelesti likely to stay without Serbian striker Filip Djordjevic.
Utrecht forward Sebastian Haller is another player on their radar, and he could arrive at Stadio Olimpico together with Cafu.
