Josip Radosevic inks Red Bull Salzburg deal

Croatian midfielder Josip Radosevic has joined Red Bull Salzburg on transfer deadline day, the Austrian club announced via their official Twitter account.

The 22-year-old signed a one-year deal with an option for a further year after ending his contract with Napoli by mutual consent.

Radosevic had joined the Azzurri from Hajduk Split three years ago as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, but he was never given a real chance to impress at Stadio San Paolo.

The central midfielder only made nine substitute appearances in Serie A, while enjoying loan stints with HNK Rijeka and Eibar.

Radosevic is the second high-profile signing to sign for Red Bull Salzburg in the last few days, with the Austrian giants also agreeing a loan deal for Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom.

The wealthy club have won three straight league titles in Austria, but they currently sit in fourth place in the standings.
