Inter have revealed that out-of-favour Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is set to undergo a medical with the Serie A club on Tuesday.
The Montenegro international is poised to return to Italy two years after joining City in a big-money move from Fiorentina.
A tweet from Inter’s official account on Sunday read: “@stevanj35 will arrive in Milan tomorrow before undergoing a medical on Tuesday”.
Jovetic has endured something a frustrating time at City, failing to gain regular starts, and the recent arrival of Raheem Sterling has provided further competition for a place at the Etihad Stadium.
Should he complete a move to Inter, Jovetic will look to kick-start his career under former City boss Roberto Mancini.
Inter have already stated their intent in the transfer market ahead of the new season by
signing the likes of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Martin Montoya, Miranda and Jeison Murillo.
