Although the European leagues might be putting together their preparations before the new seasons get underway, battles in both the MLS and the Brazilian Serie A are starting to heat up. On that note, we have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your Friday footballing accumulator.

Friday 27th July

00:00 BST America MG vs Internacional

For Odair Hellmann’s side, although Internacional were only promoted from the second division last season, the visitors on Friday have enjoyed a stellar start to the new campaign and coming off a midweek 1-0 win against Ceara, The Reds have become one of Serie A’s in-form sides. Now on a 10 match unbeaten run that stems back to the start of May, along with holding the third-best defensive record in Brazil this year, Internacional are averaging two goals per game over the past month. The visitors will also be boosted by their own record against America MG, after winning the reverse fixture 2-1 last season, Hellmann’s outfit have now only lost one of their 11 meetings against MG. As for the hosts, although they too were promoted last season, MG have been drastically out of form and are tipped by many to drop immediately back down. Now a point from safety and stuck in 18th position, coming off the back of a 1-0 loss to fellow relegation candidates Parana, America MG have now on a five-match winless run and have lost four of those outings. Given the gulf in recent form, it is hard to see anything other than an Internacional win on Friday.

Tip: Away win @ 13/10

01:00 Orlando City SC vs New York City FC

Starting with former Manchester City coach Domènec Torrent, after swapping the Etihad for Yankee Stadium last month, The Sky Blues have enjoyed a successful start to life and coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Columbus Crew, New York now sit second in the Eastern Conference and just four points adrift of Atlanta. Now on a three match winning run and while top scorers David Villa and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi have been sidelined with injury problems, along with not conceding a single goal in those three victories, 21-year-old winger Jesus Medina has begun to shine. After being awarded the Man of the Match award in their 3-0 win over Montreal last week, the Parguyain youngster now has two in his last two. As for Orlando, with the hosts coming off the back of a 3-2 loss to Columbus last week, The Purples are now on a run of form that has seen them lose 10 of their last 11 matchups in the MLS. With just one win at the Orlando City Stadium since May, we’re backing another New York win here.

Tip: Away win @ 27/20

03:30 Los Angeles FC vs LA Galaxy

On paper, this has all the makings of a true goal-fest. Two of the Western Conferences heavy hitters, after missing out on the chance to close the gap on Dallas earlier in the week, former USA boss Bob Bradley knows how important Friday’s matchup is. While the MLS’ latest franchise are coming off the back of a shock 5-1 loss away at Minnesota on Monday, Los Angeles do boast a stellar record at Banc of California Stadium and after booking their spot in the semi-finals of the US Open Cup, coming past a very strong Portland side, The Whites are yet to lose a home match in their inaugural MLS season. After winning six of their last seven home matches, although we are backing Bradley’s side to come away with the win, LA will certainly prove to be a tough test. Led by former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Galaxy have begun to skyrocket up the table and along with sitting just four points behind their hosts in the table, Sigi Schmid’s side have now won their last three matches on the bounce. While we do believe that Los Angeles’ home record will give them the advantage, we do believe the visitors will manage to find the net in the 90 minutes.

Tip: Home win and both teams to score @ 9/5
