Juventus eyeing Otamendi

Turin-based Tuttosport understands that Juventus are pondering a move for FC Porto defender Nicolas Otamendi.

Antonio Conte has been left with just four centre-backs after Martin Caceres picked up a serious injury,  which is a serious issue considering his 3-5-2 formation.

As a result, the talented manager is keen to add at least another central defender to the ranks in the January transfer window.

And while the Bianconeri continue to keep close tabs on FC Basel starlet Fabian Schar, Tuttosport reports that Nicolas Otamendi is also on their hit-list.

The Argentine stopper has been putting in some excellent performances for Porto over the last couple of years and he is seen as a player who would seriously increase competition for places at Juventus Arena.

After taking 13 points from first 5 Serie A fixtures, the Old Lady face local rivals Torino in an early kick-off on Sunday, and they are 1/2 to claim maximum points.
