Juventus gear up Gaya swoop

Serie A reigning champions Juventus are said to be keen on Valencia defender Jose Luis Gaya.

The Turin-based newspaper outlet Tuttosport has reported that Bianconeri have the 22-year-old under close watch for a possible summer swoop thought to be worth around €25 – €35 million.

With Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah both expected to leave the Italian behemoths at the end of the season, Juventus have set their sights on possible replacements and the likes of Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian and Valencia starlet Gaya are currently topping the wishlist.

Gaya is the latest name to be thrown into the mix as Juventus look for high-profile squad boosts and potential head-for-head replacement for in-demand defender Alex Sandro who is also a person of interest for many a Europe’s giant.

Valencia defender has enjoyed a successful season with Los Che thus far, making 19 starts in La Liga, during which time he managed 3 assists.
