Juventus give up on Douglas Costa

German newspaper Bild claims that Juventus have ended their pursuit of Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa.

The Bianconeri were close to agreeing a €40 million transfer with the Bavarians and the player was eager to move to Turin, but the deal appears to be off the table.

Namely, Italian clubs are only allowed to sign two non-EU footballers per season, and they have already added Rodrigo Bentancur to their ranks, while Danilo Luiz da Silva is set to follow.

That basically means that Douglas Costa will not be moving to Turin, with the Bianconeri turning their attention towards Federico Bernardeschi.

The Italian starlet is believed to have agreed personal terms with Juventus and Fiorentina confirmed the 23-year-old was looking to leave Artemio Franchi.
