Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has called on the Italian courts to hand down fair judgements in the GEA football agency trial, ANSA news agency reports.
On Tuesday the Italian public prosecutor called for six- and five-year jail sentences for ex-Juventus director general Luciano Moggi and his football agent son Alessandro.
Now Cobolli Gigli, who helped pick up the pieces at the Turin club and return them to Serie A in the wake of the scandal, has demanded that those facing sentencing aren't pre-judged.
“I am convinced that in Italy one has to value the presumption of innocence,” he said.
“Until then we cannot make a definite ruling and (consider) all those involved in what we call Moggiopoli are innocent,” he added.
