Juventus ready to make a move for Mandzukic

According to Talk Sport, Italian giants Juventus are ready to do battle with Everton for highly rated Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic scored three goals in as many games in his Euro 2012 campaign with Croatia but it was not enough to see them progress from the group stages.

The Toffee’s have been linked with the attacker and it would surely be an exciting move for him after seeing national teammate Nikica Jelavic become an instant success at Goodison Park.

The Wolfsburg striker scored twelve times in the Bundesliga last season and after impressing at Euro 2012, looks to be on the move this summer.

Juventus would also be an attractive proposition for him. They won Serie A last season and will be playing Champions League football this year.

The 26-year-old could be left with a big decision to make and if money is a big issue for him, then the Italians are likely to be the ones with the upper hand.

With reports suggesting that Mandzukic could be on his way for as little as £7 million he could be one of the bargains of this summer transfer window.

However, the German side will fight tooth and nail to keep him at the club, if they can’t do that then they will want big money for the Croatian star.

We shall see.
