Juventus reignite interest in Verratti

Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Serie A champions Juventus are set to launch a new assault on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti.

The Bianconeri seem ready to cash in on Arturo Vidal in January after the Chilean made a serious discipline breach, and they are actively on the lookout for his replacement.

And while Juan Manuel Mata and Xherdan Shaqiri are being mentioned as his successors, Juventus seem to have rekindled the interest in PSG’s Marco Verratti as well.

The Bianconeri missed out on the youngster’s signature two years ago as he opted to leave Pescara for Parc des Princes, but they have since remained attentive of his performances.

And with Verratti quickly proving his worth at the biggest stage, Juventus are ready to try and lure him to Turin in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old could be in action tomorrow evening when Italy face Malta on the road, with the Azzurri 1/14 to claim maximum points.
