Juventus have signed 18 year old midfielder Falque Silva Iago from Barcelona.

The Old Lady faced competition from Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Ajax for the promising youngster, who signed a four year contract with the Italian side.

“I am happy to join such a prestigious club as Juventus,” Iago said.

“The thought of being able to train alongside such great champions makes me enthusiastic and I can’t wait to get going.

“I want to make myself useful and to show my potential and I am grateful to Claudio Ranieri for his words of praise.”

Iago, who is a regular face in Spain’s Under-19 side, believes he can become the Bianconeri’s version of Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas.

“It would be good to imitate Fabregas and do what he has done,” he told Tuttosport.

“I am delighted at having arrived here in a prestigious club like Juventus. The Idea to train alongside great champions makes me really enthusiastic and I cannot wait to begin.

“I hope I can be useful as well as show my capabilities here. I want to thank Claudio Ranieri for all the praise and I hope to pay him back.”
