Juventus take lead in Barella race?

According to reports in Italy, Juventus have taken the lead in the race to sign Nicolo Barella. The 21 year old from Cagliari has been turning heads since making his professional debut back in 2014, and now, it finally seems as if he’s going to get the major move that he desires. Juve would need to wait until January at least in order to try and lure him to the club, and it isn’t going to be easy. Both Inter & AC Milan were interested in Barella during the summer, but neither were willing to stump up the €35 million necessary to sign the Italian.

Monaco and Liverpool are also both said to be interested in the move, meaning that Barella could have some decisions to make in the next few months. With that being said, some reports suggest that an official agreement could already be in place for him to move to Juventus.
