Suwon Bluewings made it two wins on the trot with a narrow victory in K-League action on Saturday, while Incheon United were held at home.

In the championship round, one goal was enough for the Bluewings as they snuck past Busan I’Park 1-0 to maintain third place on the K-League table.

The solitary goal of the contest came shortly after the half-hour mark, when Busan I’Park defender Eder Baiano turned the ball into his own net to give the visitors the lead at the Busan Sport Complex Asiad Stadium.

There were chances at both ends during the second half, but Seong-Hyo Yoon’s men held on to clinch the points and keep them in the Champions League qualifying position.

Meanwhile in the relegation round, Incheon United were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw at home against Seongnam.

Also, the match that was due to take place between Sangju Sangmu and Gwangju was cancelled due to a boycott by the former.

Last month Sangju Sangmu opted to boycott their final 14 matches of the K-League season, after officials advised them they would be relegated to their second tier due to the status of its players.

Sangju Sangmu represent the sports division of the South Korean military and are the only non-professional club in the K-League.

This is not in line with Asian Football Confederation guidelines and the league opted to relegate the club.
