Kaka could leave Real on a free transfer

Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo has learned that Real Madrid are prepared to let star midfielder Kaka leave the club on a free transfer.

Even if los Blancos officials remain adamant the Brazilian still has a role to play at the Santiago Bernabeu, the reality is they are doing everything in their power to get rid of him.

El Mundo Deportivo now claims that they are even prepared to waive the transfer fee in order to facilitate his exit from Madrid.

That should help interested clubs raise enough cash to match the player’s €12 million per season salary, although there will not be too many sides prepared to take the gamble.

Kaka, 30, has been struggling for form since joining the club in a €68.5 million move from AC Milan and never came close to justifying the cost of the transfer.

He has made just seven La Liga appearances this season, but only started one of those fixtures.
