Tottenham have confirmed striker Harry Kane has returned to the club following a short loan spell at Norwich.
The 19-year-old will provide cover in attack for Andre Villas-Boas’ side after Emmanuel Adebayor’s departure for the Africa Cup of Nations left him with only Jermain Defoe as a recognised striker.
Kane moved to Norwich at the end of August in a bid to gain more first-team experience and made five appearances for Chris Hughton’s side.
But the forward suffered an ankle injury in September that kept him out of action for the bulk of his time at Carrow Road.
Kane’s position at Norwich was further undermined when they signed Luciano Becchio from Leeds and Kei Kamara from Sporting Kansas City, while Steve Morison was also allowed to leave the club as part of the Becchio transfer.
Youngster Kane began his career at White Hart Lane and has made one senior appearance for the club, also spending time on loan at Leyton Orient and Millwall.
