Karim Benzema set for new Real Madrid deal

Spanish daily newspaper AS claims that Karim Benzema is set to sign a contract extension at Santiago Bernabeu.

Even though the English media has suggested that the Frenchman could be moving to Arsenal, AS is adamant the rumours are false.

Benzema is instead expected to sign a two-year extension with Real Madrid in the coming days, meaning that he will be tied to the club until June 2021.

Despite the fact that many fans believe the Frenchman has failed to prove his worth, Zinedine Zidane and club chiefs seem to trust him completely and they have now decided to sort out his future.

Since joining the club from Lyon, Benzema managed 182 goals and 104 assists in 371 competitive appearances for los Blancos.
