The BBC reports that Roy Keane has left Sunderland.
His future as manager has been in doubt over the past couple of weeks as he has looked and sounded less and less happy.
It is a shame that he is going as he has been a credit to Sunderland and the Premier League. However, he has often shown in his life that when he makes a decision, nothing can change his way of thinking.
Despite five defeats in six games, I would have thought his job was relatively safe. This must be his decision to leave rather than him being pushed out.
