Schalke midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is nearing closer to rejoining former club AC Milan in the January window, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Despite the fact that he is still under contract with the Miners, the Bundesliga side allowed the Ghana international to train with the Rossoneri, hoping that the Italian club would eventually submit an official proposal for his services.

And it appears that AC Milan are ready to negotiate a deal with Schalke in the January transfer window.

First of all, the Rossoneri have been impressed with Boateng’s performance in training as everyone can see that he is determined to rediscover the form that served him so well during his first spell at San Siro.

Taking also into account Mario Balotelli’s injury problems, AC Milan could really use another experienced midfielder who can make the difference in the final third.

During his first stint with the Rossoneri, Boateng scored a total of 10 goals in 74 Serie A outings.
