Kevin Trapp to end Liverpool’s goalkeeping woes?

Premier League giants Liverpool are one of the best attacking sides in Europe, but it is their defensive inadequacies that are holding the Reds back from properly challenging for the league title.

With 46 goals scored this season, only Manchester City have netted more times than Jurgen Klopp’s side in the English top flight, but Liverpool have also conceded the joint most times of the teams inside the top seven.

While Virgil van Dijk has long been linked with an Anfield move in order to shore up the back line, the goalkeeper position is still one that poses a lot of questions. Neither Simon Mignolet nor Loris Karius have looked convincing in net, but that could be set to change.

According to the Liverpool Echo, PSG shot stopper Kevin Trapp is firmly on the Reds’ radar as a solution to their woes. The German has plied his trade in Paris since 2015, and has become a hugely talented goalkeeper.

His addition to the Liverpool squad could finally get them challenging for the top spot in the Premier League once again.
