Galatasaray dropped their first points in UEFA Cup Group B while Ukranian side Metalist Kharkiv move into second place.
The Turkish hosts had been the better side throughout most of the first half but as goals were lacking, Galatasaray began to lose focus after the interval.
And things got worse with nine minutes to go when Edmar beat defender Server to the ball and struck past goalkeeper De Sanctis for 0-1.
Galatasaray remain in first place with six points from three games. Kharkiv are second with four points and a game in hand.
