German media outlet Sport Bild has learned that Real Madrid have made a new contract offer to midfielder Sami Khedira.
Even if the Germany international continues to be linked with a move away from the club, it is no secret coach Carlo Ancelotti as well as the club officials want him to remain at Santiago Bernabeu.
As a result, los Blancos are now in talks with the player’s agents over a new and improved deal with his current contract due to expire at the end of the season.
According to Sport Bild, Real Madrid officials are confident Khedira has not signed a pre-contract agreement with another club and have offered him a new deal worth €4 million per campaign.
The highly rated midfielder has returned to the club as he steps up his recovery from injury and he could soon be ready for first team football, even if the Champions League clash against Ludogorets, where Real are 2/11 for a win, comes too soon.
