(GSM) – Sheffield United defender Matthew Kilgallon is reportedly set to leave the side to join Premiership outfit Sunderland.
BBC Radio Sheffield reported on Thursday that the clubs agreed a fee of 2 million Pounds for the 26-year-old defender, who had been in media spotlights throughout the winter transfer window.
Kilgallon started his career at Leeds United in 2002 and apart from a short stay with West Ham United, remained at the The Whites until 2007. That summer, the player made a move to Sheffield United and has since featured in most of the team’s games.
The defender does still need to undergo a medical at Sunderland.
