Dave Kitson is on the brink of a move from Reading to Stoke, according to SkySports News.

The 28 year old striker has been linked with a move away from the Madejski Stadium since the Royals were relegated from the Premier League in May.

He is expected to finalize the details of his transfer this morning and complete a £5 million move to the Britannia Stadium.

Kitson scored 54 goals for Reading in 135 appearances, after joining from Cambridge United in 2003.
