Wolfsburg-owned defender Simon Kjaer is keen to stay at Roma, his agent has revealed.

The Denmark international spent the season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico, making 24 competitive appearances for the La Liga side under Luis Enrique.

And, despite enduring a disappointing campaign, it has been reported that the Italian club are considering asking Wolfsburg to loan the defender for a further season.

Kjaer’s performances at Euro 2012 have not gone unnoticed in Europe, but his agent has intimated that the Danish player’s priority is to prolong his stay at Roma.

“I do not know yet if Wolfsburg have received any offers, but what I can say is that I was contacted by at least four or five clubs who asked for informations about his situation,” Mikkel Beck told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Simon has been playing well at the Euros, so it is normal that some clubs are looking at him.

“We have a great rapport with Roma, and Kjaer’s desire is to stay there. I do not know what will happen, we will see in the next days.”
