Struggling Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg will finish the season with Lorenz-Gunther Kostner as their coach, club director general Dieter Hoeness confirmed on Sunday.
Reserves team coach Kostner replaces Armin Veh, who was sacked two weeks ago.
“He’ll go to the end of the season. We want this solution to create stability to allow the team time to make the right decisions,” said Hoeness.
Kostner, 58, has been at the helm since January 26 but has only managed a 1-1 draw against Hamburg and a 3-1 defeat against Bayern.
Wolfsburg are currently 12th in the league with 25 points.
