The Daily Mail is reporting this morning that Celta Vigo are the latest club to make a move for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.
After a loan spell at Sunderland last season, it is almost certain that Bendtner is to leave the Emirates this summer, but the club are waiting for the right deal.
The latest twist appears to be interest from Celta Vigo who are reportedly willing to match Arsenal’s valuation of around £7.5m.
The Denmark international had a productive Euro 2012 of course, scoring two goals in Poland and Ukraine and there is no doubt he is a talented player.
However, it seems certain that a fresh challenge is the way to go for him. At Arsenal, things have become a little flat for the 24-year-old.
Should Celta Vigo’s interest prove to be genuine, it seems as though they will have to compete with the likes of Galatasary and AC Milan for Bendtner’s signature.
Given that the striker has fallen out with Arsene Wenger, many clubs are looking to take advantage of a decent asking price for a player of his age.
It seems inevitable that there will be interest from Premier League clubs at some stage too, so Bendtner’s future might not be sorted for a few weeks yet.
It is certainly one to keep an eye on.
