Real Betis played out a scoreless draw at home to Real Valladolid in a dour La Liga encounter that saw both sides reduced to 10 men.

In a game of few chances, Benat was at a the centre of Betis’ next attack of note, setting up Joel Campbell on 66 minutes only for the Costa Rican to fire wide.

Jorge Molina scuppered the best chance of the match seven minutes from time when the Betis forward sent his close-range effort over the crossbar.

Amaya received a second caution in stoppage time as Betis were also reduced to 10 men, but it failed to sway the result.

The shared spoils leave both sides in mid-table, with Betis eighth on 36 points and Valladolid six points adrift in 10th.
