Inter Milan boss Claudio Ranieri is unhappy with his club’s lack of activity in the January transfer window, according to a report.
In addition to the off-season departures such as Samuel Eto’o, Davide Santon and Goran Pandev, the Milan side off-loaded Thiago Motta to Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Despite the loan arrival of Fredy Guarin, the 60-year-old Ranieri feels his squad lacks depth – according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The San Siro side have failed to win in any of their last five matches in all competitions, and the former Roma coach believes this can be attributed to minimal activity in the transfer market.
Meanwhile, Tuttomercatoweb.com is reporting that despite the poor run of form, the club’s president Massimo Moratti has no plans to replace Ranieri.
The fans’ jeers were ringing out in the San Siro crowd during Sunday’s 1-0 Serie A loss to bottom side Novara, urging Moratti to dispense with the coach, but the 66-year-old supremo has no current plans to change the set-up.
