Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has quashed speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.
Reports that Jose Mourinho had made the 28-year-old his priority in the transfer market had circulated on Thursday.
However, the Germany skipper insisted he is not interested in a switch to the Spanish capital, and said the Portuguese coach would have to move to the Allianz Arena in order to work with him.
“It’s great praise from such a coach,” Lahm said at a press conference. “Never say never, but he would have to come to coach Bayern for this to happen.
“I’ve got a long-term contract and I feel very comfortable here.”
Lahm was part of the Bayern Munich team that beat Real Madrid on penalties in the Champions League semi-final in May.
