Larsson close to Hull switch

Hull City are closing in on the signing of Sebastian Larsson, according to the Mail Online.

The midfielder is a free agent after his contract with Sunderland expired recently and has also been speaking to Spanish side Levante though the Tigers, who were relegated to the Championship along with the Black Cats in May, have appeared to win the race to secure his services.

Larsson has spent the last six seasons at the Stadium of Light, racking up over two hundred appearances in all competitions, scoring fourteen goals.

Prior to his move to the North East he spent five years with Birmingham City having begun his career with Arsenal, though he turned out just twelve times for the Gunners.

Hull began their campaign with a 1-1 draw with promotion favourites Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon and next face Burton Albion at home, with the hosts priced at 8/13 for the win.
