Spanish striker Jese Rodriguez could remain in La Liga for another season with his current side Las Palmas keen on extending his loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain.

Former Real Madrid frontman moved to Paris a year ago but managed only one star for Les Parisiens in what turned out to be an ill-fated short-term spell at the French capital. Las Palmas offered an escape route to Jese which turned out to be quite a success for the 24-year-old striker.

Jese scored three goals in 16 La Liga appearances for Las Palmas but has largely impressed with his overall performances and has seemingly done more than enough to convince the club’s officials to try and renew his loan deal.

“We want to keep him”, Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez confirmed, adding that negotiations with PSG have already begun.

The biggest stumbling block standing between Jese and another loan spell in his home town are his high wages.
