AC Milan and Barcelona are among the clubs rumoured to be interested in Lazio midfielder Hernanes, according to the player’s agent.
The 27-year-old midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico after impressing for Lazio following a 13.5 million-euro transfer from Sao Paulo in 2010.
Hernanes’ representative insisted his charge’s wish is to remain at Lazio, but also claimed there is a lot of demand for the player, citing rumoured interest from European heavyweights Milan and Barca.
“Right now I am in Brazil, but in August I will travel to Rome,” Joseph Lee told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
“I will speak again with president Claudio Lotito.
“I have received many phone calls from people who want to ask for information about my client. I have not yet received any offer from a big club, but many phone calls from agents.
“I have heard that Barcelona and AC Milan are interested, but there has been no offer from them.
“Hernanes has a contract with Lazio and he has frequently said that he wants to stay in Rome. His name, however, is circulating amongst many agents.”
