Lazio president Claudio Lotito has moved to confirm his interest in Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna.
Ogbonna, 24, is widely regarded as one of the best central defenders in Serie A, and he is widely tipped to leave Torino for a big European club in the summer.
Juventus, Manchester United and Arsenal are all believed to be keen on the Italy international, and Lazio have now been added to the long list of suitors.
The Biancocelesti chairman Claudio Lotito admits he would love to see Ogbonna at Stadio Olimpico.
“Ogbonna is a good player and as such he could become a Lazio player,” Lotito confessed to Tuttosport.
Lazio travel to Turin on Sunday to face Torino and that could be a perfect chance for the Biancocelesti officials to make a check on their summer target.
It is still not certain that Ogbonna will play, however, given that he is struggling with a thigh problem.
The 24-year-old is currently valued at €20 million, but Torino may have to lower the asking price if they want to cash in on their prized asset.
