Lazio in pole position for Uruguayan star

Lazio are believed to be close to signing Uruguayan striker Bruno Fornaroli this week, and are said to be in pole position for the striker by Fornaroli’s agent. Tottenham are also said to have a keen interest in the star, after being linked to various South American strikers this week.

Fornaroli’s agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito told the Italian press that Lazio have made an offer of over £4 million for the Uruguayan, although there has been no official confirmation of any approach so far.

Fornaroli, 20, current plays for in the Uruguayan premier league for Nacional, and has attracted interest from various clubs in Italy and Europe.

D’Ippolito told the Italian press “At present I believe that Lazio is in pole position. I have already spoken to Claudio Lotito (Lazio Chairman), who is very interest in coming to meet him”.
